MCG Strategies Internship Opportunity -- Worthington, OH

The Michael Collins Group (MCG) is an education consulting firm based out of Central Ohio. Our passion at the Michael Collins Group is to build relationships and organizational direction with state associations, agencies and programs that impact students, educators and institutions. The Michael Collins Group is all about tapping into the skills and talents of educators and related organizations who support them, and offering them the benefits of our experience in public policy, organization development, marketing, media relations, events and campaigns.

MCG Strategies is seeking two interns with extraordinary communications and organization skills. An MCG intern will work 12 - 15 hours per week, and fulfill their responsibilities ideally from September 2021 through the spring of 2022 (internship length is flexible). 

​

As a consulting firm, we have several clients and projects. We are looking to hire one intern that will focus work efforts with Kids Voting Ohio, and statewide civics and voting education program for Ohio schools (www.kidsvotingohio.org) and one intern that will focus work efforts with Ray and Associates, a national educational leadership search firm (www.rayassoc.com).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with organizational and administrative tasks

• Assisting with social media management

• Assisting and communicating with clients

• Attend Meetings

• Creation of programs/other graphic communications

• Managing organizational marketing efforts

• Provide feedback

 

Requirements

• Undergraduate student majoring in Communication, Marketing, Political Science, Business or a related field

• Ability to take direction and multi-task

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Extensive knowledge of social media and Microsoft office

• Proficient Social Media knowledge

This is a paid position, with a $250 monthly stipend. Students who participate in the MCG Strategies internship can also receive credit from their academic institution for their service with MCG.
